Eclipse: CH 7

Chapter 7

He didn't know for how long has he woken up from his sleep, nor did he know for how long he actually slept.

He had woken up with a start, not unlike how it has been lately. But at the same time, it does feels different. He feels different. In a way that he can't really put to words. The buzzing under his skin is still present, as is the heat deep in his core, albeit a lot more bearable than yesterday. Like whatever his body craved for was sated.

But, what? What was it that he had craved for? What exactly happened after he got back here yesterday?

He had a vague memory of collapsing, and an even more vague feeling of being caught by someone. The more he thinks of it the more unsettling it feels.

Someone, something had broken in and he know nothing of it.

A shiver passed down the length of his body; a ghost sensation of someone's hand caressing his naked skin.

"Looks like you could use some help, priest."

"..-It can't be-"

He had bolted out of his bed right after that. He didn't know what to make of it, neither can he confirm whether it actually happened or not. There was nothing left on him that could've been used as evidence. Then again, who knows what that man is truly capable of. Hypnosis and memory manipulation sound quite possible to him.

For the time being, he chose to kick those thoughts aside and return to his primary task at hand. He needs to unravel this mystery first before taking the next step. And so, he picks up the books that he took along with him yesterday and began searching through the pages again.

It sure does feels tedious going through pages upon pages without finding much things at all. Though for ease of references, he'd taken to keeping a note on the side on every notable detail he could found so far. And he's now down to the last page.

Flipping the book close, he leans into the chair, sighing. Looks like he'd really have to take Gai's word on this and visit the Northern Church. And for that he would need to get going as soon as possible; he can't afford to let this go on for any longer.

Running his hand through his hair in frustration. Just what has he gotten himself into.

It sure is going to be a lot easier if he can just cut the man down and be done with but obviously that won't work with him. For one, he's bloody strong. And two, apparently the man now has some degree of control over him and he has no idea how to deal with this.

Rubbing his arms to ward of the lingering touches; it's getting harder to ignore as the day progresses. He knows what it is but never has it been so...unnatural.

Like his body is being forced to feel it.

And the more he mulls over it, more questions bubbles up in his mind.

He needs answers.

< Well, I don't mind giving you some if you so wanted. >

He jolted out of his chair at the voice, frantically looking around. It happened again.

"Were you listening?" To my thoughts?

Amused chuckles echoed in his head.

< It was quite loud. >

Tch. He's becoming more and more of a pain to deal with.

And the heat starts to grow again, pulsing in his veins.

< If you want it, then come. I'll be waiting. >

The transmission ended there and the way his mind subconsciously reached out to it is painful. The temptation is almost too strong to resist.

(Or is it?)

Shrouded in darkness, a lone figure awaits. It wasn't a particularly cloudy night. In fact, the sky is clear with countless stars shining in the wide expanse. However tonight the moon is absent; hidden away behind the shadow. New moon. For once in a while, there's no need to endure the annoying prick of reflected sunlight.

Not that sunlight bothers him much lately. Not at all. Not after he found the strange little priest. With eyes like burning ember and a soul that burns even more. Whose blood works like ambrosia, leaving him high off his head and wanting more afterward. So much he has more or less stopped feeding on anything else unless absolutely necessary.

He can see Avarice - Judo - giving him that part annoyed part exasperated look at the back of his head. Tch, like I care.

He knows what it means. And that also mean he knows something about the little priest that even the man himself doesn't know. And from how things look, it seems like he doesn’t even have the slightest idea. Which is of course strange. But that is not something he'd bother himself with.

Soft footsteps come from behind him, lightly echoes in the wide hall. And here he comes.

"So, you came." Turning around, facing the person. "I know I can count on you."

"Shut up, vampire." Words tinged with poison. Unfortunately, the effect would've been greater had the man not be so out of breath. In the faint light he can see quite clearly; the flush of his skin, and the gradually dilating pupils. It's amazing how he can still remain in control. His tenacity is formidable.

"Hardly convincing with how you look right now." He slowly makes his way over, enjoying the play of emotion across the other man's face. The man reflexively took a step back in alarm. In a flash, he moves forward, pushing the man back against the wall.

"-!!" Eyes widening with the sudden close proximity. He kept his hands on either side of him, effectively blocking his escape.

Looking down on the shorter man, noting how he pointedly looking elsewhere. "Why looked so surprised? Isn't this what you came here for?"

"I am not-"

"-Not? What? I can't hear you clearly." He purposely dips down lower to whisper into the other's ear, eliciting a gasp.

"You're already this bad and yet you still refuse to admit. Even standing close like this is unbearable, isn't it?" Up close, he can feel the heat radiating off of the other's body, and the shudder that pass down his spine. His breathing shallower, faster than before.

"..Shut up." The rebuttal came, weaker than the last one. He's really nearing his limit.

"Your lips says no but your body is screaming otherwise.." The other man is actively putting in effort in order to not lean into him. Just a little bit more.

"Just say that you want to be piercedpenetrated, and filled in with pleasure. Say it and I'll give you the relief you so desperately wish for." By the end of it, the man is left moaning breathlessly.

Tentatively a pair of hands caught the frills of his white shirt, fingers curling into the fabric. The man appeared conflicted, unsure whether to pull in or push away. Then he looks upward, eyes dark.

“..Then, just do it.” The words came out breathless, yet it didn’t betray the half desperate half steely undertones that it carries.

A sense of smug satisfaction fills him. This man might be the hardest to crack by far. A good challenge is its own reward, and more.

"As you wish, priest."
